About Paul Spain

Paul saw the business potential of graphical (GUI) based computing during the 1980s. He soon learnt the Apple Mac and Microsoft Windows platforms and became recognised as one of NZ's first Windows experts in the 1990s.

Paul spent a number of years in the area of providing technology services to meet the business goals of some of NZ's leading organisations. Working as a consultant and a technical manager, Paul acquired and managed clients including Microsoft, Saatchi & Saatchi, Ogilvy & Mather and TrustPower, before establishing Gorilla Technology (IT Services) in 1997. This has been followed by the launch of WorldDJ.com (NZ's first social network) and Cloud Labs (Office 365, Software Development/Services, Consulting).

Paul now works in the field of helping businesses leverage technology in order to achieve their goals more effectively. This includes consulting on technology, telecommunications and online/social media. He is also the host of the NZ Tech Podcast - one of New Zealand's leading locally produced Podcasts.
