Paul is the founder and CEO of Gorilla Technology, which he established in 1997 to help organisations get the most from technology while managing its risks. Today that work spans cybersecurity, cloud, AI adoption and business continuity for professional services firms, regulated SMEs and purpose-driven organisations.

He is the host of the NZ Tech Podcast, New Zealand's longest-running technology podcast, along with the NZ Business Podcast. Together they reach a wide audience of leaders, founders and the technology-curious.

As a futurist and commentator, Paul is a regular contributor across RNZ, TVNZ, Newstalk ZB, the NZ Herald and international outlets including Reuters, ABC News and Sky News, translating complex shifts into plain, useful insight.

His guiding focus is simple: helping individuals, organisations and New Zealand as a whole succeed with technology, maximising the uplift while reducing the downsides, from cyber risk and data privacy to broader societal impact.

On stage, Paul is known for keynotes that cut through the hype, with energising, practical sessions that leave audiences clear on what to do next rather than merely dazzled by what's possible.

Paul lives in Auckland. When he isn't in the studio or on stage, he's often found tinkering with smart-home technology, exploring what local AI can do on Apple silicon, or planning the next family road trip.
